An October Proposal at the Cliffs of Moher

I arrived an hour early and parked in the sunshine. I walked up the hill with icy raindrops stabbing my face, dried out on the cliff top when the wind blew away the clouds, then huddled behind a small stone wall to wait out a shower, changed ALL my settings because the sun came up and texted the nervous guy… “it’s a bit rainy and windy, but the view is worth it. Hopefully you can convince her to come up!”

1 hour later

They arrived, a bit breathless, lots of layers, and ready to drink in the views. Alone on the cliff top, as quiet and private and intimate a proposal as you could want, and he was asking her to marry him while I got to capture the beautiful moment with ice cold hands and a very warm heart.

A half an hour for engagement photos

and we were walking back down, giddy with the adrenaline of the romance and the weather when the sky lit up in a beautiful rainbow… followed by hail and rain and sun.

So you want to propose in Ireland in the autumn? I say… go for it! (but dress in layers)
