There is such joy and anticipation when you’re expecting a new baby. You daydream and read all the books and can’t wait to meet that sweet newborn. And you only have this sliver of time to cherish being pregnant before life changes completely.
Whether it’s your first pregnancy and you only want a few couple portraits (plus the bump!) or you’re adding to your family, my lifestyle maternity sessions are relaxed and fun, a wonderful way to spend time with the people you love. Just like newborn photography, a maternity photo session is a lovely way to remember this brief but life-changing time in your lives.

THE EXPERIENCE
My maternity photo sessions are a relaxed, natural, and fun way to spend some time together before the baby comes - there’s not a lot of posing, but there is a whole lot of laughing!
Before the Session
I’ll give you a call and we’ll chat about what you’re looking for & the kind of memories you want most, I’ll help you choose your location - out & about or in-home - and we’ll talk about some fun things to do together, and the best time for a maternity photo shoot, what to wear, and pick a date & time - it’s pretty easy!
During the Session
We meet up and chat a bit… ok, a lot - I want to get to know you, your plans for the baby’s room, baby name ideas, how you met, all the lovely details. And pretty soon, you’ll forget I’m even taking pictures. When everyone is feeling comfortable, I’ll suggest a few things for you to do - like snuggle up, or walk real slow. If you have other children, we might play a game or make a snack. My goal is to capture the magic of your life right now, just before it changes.
After the Session
I’ll get to work editing your photos as quickly as I can, and you’ll have them in about 2-3 weeks after your photo session. I’ll send a link to an online gallery where you can see them all, share them, and choose the ones you love best.
You can also purchase prints, framed pictures, albums, and other pieces of photographic art directly from your online gallery.

You can book your maternity photo session near me in Co Clare, but I am also happy to travel all over Ireland - from the stunning beaches of Sligo and the epic Cliffs of Moher, to the enchanting lake & woods of Cratloe, and the romantic ruins found all over the Irish landscape, maternity photos in Ireland are always beautiful.
But my very favourite place to take your pregnancy photos is right in your own home - the place where you’ll begin your new life with your newborn. And as a family photographer, I also love taking family pictures of big sisters or brothers eagerly anticipating the arrival of their new baby.

Dear mama-to-be,
This isn’t an easy time, is it? There’s magic and mystery and wonder, yes. But there is also tiredness, and aches, and nausea, and worry. And just about the time you’re feeling better, that beautiful baby bump starts getting in the way of… everything, really!
But you’ve never been so beautiful.
It feels like a long time sometimes, but before you know it you’ll be taking baby pictures, and despite the sleepless nights & messy house, it will be a perfect that you never knew could exist.
Oh yes, it will be hard too. But just like this all-too-brief pregnancy, those newborn days will disappear and you’ll smile at other pregnant mamas and remember the flutters and kicks and that special joy of holding your baby within you.
